“…it is change that is already taking place, and change that can accelerate if you’ll just open your heart and join in.”
Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, Half the Sky
Our main focus right now is building a beautiful, green and sustainable Science Center at the Kitenga School for Girls. We are already part way there. You can help us bring these girls high-quality science studies – one more pathway for creating new opportunity. GIVE HERE
Our goal is to raise $230,000 USD to fund the design, construction and oversight of the Center. In order to start construction this summer (so the school can stay on schedule to open in January) we are on an aggressive schedule to raise the needed funding. If you are considering a major gift, there are naming opportunities. Please email Anne (Anne@GirlsEdCollaborative.org) if you would like to work with us to create this amazing opportunity for girls through a dedicated donation.
Rarely in our lives are we presented with a direct chance to change the world for the better. Today in Kitenga there are few opportunities for women and girls beyond the hardships of every day life. By fully embracing and supporting the work already underway by a remarkable group of Sisters, we can, through our collective efforts, make a difference.
“We learned through the reporting of Nick Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn how difficult it is for girls in Tanzania and throughout Africa to get an education. When Anne Wadsworth told us about the Girls Education Collaborative, we immediately knew this to be an excellent and vital initiative that deserves wide support. ”
